Well it looks to be exactly like I predicted; A compliment to the V-synth (pianos/orchestral synth) and lacking features so it doesn't tread on Fantom G sales. (no sequencing & sampling).

Rebuilt Korg M50
...we at Purplelover's saved the synth section of this M50 by removing the busted up parts, revamped its package and housed it in a very cool free standing pine box.

....the EXO sub has been greatly reduced in size. The original EXO sub was approximately a 14” cube, the new SUB is much smaller (10”H x 9”W x 11”D) and yet still has much the same performance of the original EXO system.
