Where to find Mac OS 9 Classic and Older System Updates?

I was trying to find a use for my old macintosh and I only had the original Mac OS 9 CD. This site here has all of the classic system updates for old macintoshes. Thank god this stuff still exists somewhere. I wish there was a torrent site for classics, but this site: Macintosh Garden seems to be OK.

I do have old audio programs for OS 9 somewhere. But loading games will have to work for now.

Holy Smokes! Dave Smith Prophet 12 (Video) Sounds insane.

Possibly the best analog synth ever made?

More Info Here: http://davesmithinstruments.com/products/prophet12/index.php

Update: I'm not sure if I can recommend this one anymore. The digital oscillators really do not have much of a unique sound. They are pretty glitchy. The filter sounds really nice though. I'm kind of on the fence. For how much money it costs, I would not get it.

King Korg Is Not Analog, MS-20 Is Real

King Korg is an analogue modelling-synth. Here are some of the features:

- XMT-modelling sound-engine

- Real tube circuit effect

- Vocoder

- CV/Gate output

- no price and/or availability yet

While this is disappointing (who needs another digital polysynth?), it seems like the MS-20 is indeed real.

Sub Phatty Animated Video

Original Music By Flying Lotus w/ the new Sub Phatty.

Another demo video is here.

Korg Has MS-20 in the Works

Korg are officially reissuing in the MS-20 in a smaller, more compact size. It will be using mini-jacks (1/4″ instead of 1/8″) and have USB-MIDI and is of course fully analogue."  From WaveFormz

Moog Sub Phatty Announced

Moog anounced the Sub Phatty today for $999. It appears to be...another analog monosynth. What they did right was include all the knobs. Only 25 keys, but they look nice. I think this would be a good first synth if it pans out. I would rather have this than the Phatty. They are probably killing off the LP, that is, if they don't understand how to tier their products.

NAMM 2013 - The Keyboards Leaked and Announced Thus Far

Launchkey by Novation

"Launchkey is a range of 25, 49 and 61 note keyboard controllers with up to 50 physical controls including 16 velocity-sensitive multi-colour launch pads that trigger and stop clips - and launch scenes - in Ableton Live..."

To be honest this one looks a little on the cheap side. I'm not a fan of Novations software. I hope this is a step in the right direction, but I'm not excited. Wait till a full review comes out before purchasing. The midi controller market is notorious for poor quality and expensive products. This just doesn't look like something I'd buy, unless it turns out they fixed all the issues I've had with every other midi controller. I'm not sure what companies are listening anymore.

An unknown Casio keyboard! I'm betting its repackaged FM technology from the old days w/ rom.

Bird Singing Dubstep - Video

"Just for all concerned we have never played dubstep to him i just beat boxed around the house and he picked it up. There was no initial intention of teaching him this."
